Description

Tantra is an ancient teaching about the nature of reality.

This Yoga is an essential piece for those just starting to walk the Tantric path and for those who have been walking it for a long time.

It is a method that grounds us into our humanity while we rest and undulate in the groundless expression of dynamism.

It is an incredibly erotic practice as we work intimately with prana and the body, and when harmony of all systems arrives, we begin to understand the sensual piece of The Tantras from an integrated and embodied expression.

This is what I have found to be true – Tantra remains mysterious at its core because it confronts the very mystery of the universe – how can we give words to something that is so mysterious?

The one lineage this immersion will take you on is Kaula, which is a branch or pathway of Kashmiri Shaivism.

It is a beautiful pathway, glittered with primordial prowess, stories that will blow your heart open, and the ability to bend your mind.

To make these vast concepts more palatable, they can only really be fully understood through the body.

The teachings and practices are inseparable.

This yoga is one pathway for experiencing the embodiment of this cosmic wisdom.

I will share with you what this yoga is, and how we will be practicing it.

You decide what you want to bring into the space – what is alive for you right now, what are your desires and longings, where are you inside yourself and your life, and let this yoga be the devotional offering to your humanity.

Tantra is interested in our desire, we follow that which is most alive, and we enter more deeply into it.

Bring yourself fully to this immersion, and you will find that the jewel of your life rests in the union of mystery and your humanity.

THE YOGA:

Tantra Yoga is a living practice rooted in the Kaula tradition of non-dual Tantra.

Rather than striving to perfect the postures and objectify the body, this practice invites us into a different relationship with the self—one of listening, trust, and profound relaxation. Every āsana has a purpose, carefully designed to restore harmony throughout the physical, energetic, and emotional bodies.

The emphasis is never on performance, but on allowing the nervous system and subconscious to soften so the body’s innate intelligence can reveal itself. As the body relaxes, the subtle layers of experience begin to awaken, and something deeper than effort guides the practice.

Classes are offered with very little verbal instruction while we are moving. Rather than telling you what you should be feeling, space is created for your own direct experience to unfold. Without comparison or expectation, the body remembers its own wisdom.

Over time, this practice gently dissolves layers of tension, protection, and unconscious holding. We begin to trust our bodies again—not by pushing beyond our limits, but by meeting ourselves exactly as we are each day. Some days the body is open and flexible; other days the body is contracted and may feel hard to move. All states are equally welcome.

In the Kaula tradition, there is nothing to attain and nowhere else to arrive. The practice is a continual return to the subtle—the quiet ground of awareness from which all of life arises and to which everything returns. Here we discover that our deepest nature has never been separate from life itself.

As strength, flexibility, steadiness, and vitality naturally emerge, they are understood as expressions of harmony rather than goals to pursue. The true gift of this yoga is not simply a healthier body or greater flexibility, but a more intimate relationship with self. When the body feels safe enough to soften, health, bliss, and aliveness naturally begin to unfold.
